State of California, Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) – SOMS Project
Provided a Project Management team, and our Change Agent Coordinator provided Project Management and Organizational Change Management services for the $245 million Strategic Offender Management System (SOMS) Project. The project consolidated existing databases and records into a unified offender case management system that allows for tracking of an offender anywhere, anytime throughout their life with CDCR.

State of California, Prison Health Care Services – Clinical Data Repository (CDR) Project
Provided Project Management services for the Clinical Data Repository (CDR) creating an electronic medical record system for 33 adult prisons for the California Prison Healthcare System with a $33 million annual budget and a $141 million project life budget. Services included Training and logistics coordination for 10,003 clinical staff in 34 locations.

State of California, Prison Health Care Services – Access to Care Project
Provided Project Management services, directly managing a portfolio of clinical health care initiatives. Assisted in the development of a Clinical Implementation Methodology (CIM) and the formation of an Executive Integrated Leadership Team (ILT). Using these, the team successfully implemented a Primary Care Model in 33 institutions for 157,000 patients with decentralized resources. Implementation of the CIM saved an estimated $7.7M in contract services over the course of the project and resulted in substantially improved patient access to care.

State of California, Department of Finance – FI$Cal Project
Provided Project Management services as part of the vendor team for the $1.6 billion Financial Management Services (FI$Cal) Project. MetaVista specifically provide Configuration Management, Change Control, and Requirements Management consulting services.

Welfare Client Data System (WCDS) Consortium – 18-County CalWIN Project
MetaVista consultant served as Implementation Deputy providing Project Management services on this $750 million, 25,000-user project. California Welfare Information Network (CalWIN) is a client-based, fully integrated, online, interactive, automated system that determines client eligibility and employability, calculates and issues benefits, exchanges information with several State systems, and provides management support. CalWIN served the WCDS Consortium consisting of 18 California Counties that together provide services for approximately (40%) of the State’s welfare caseload and supports more than 22,000 users at more than 700 sites.

Sacramento County Department of Human Assistance – Sacramento County CalWIN Project
MetaVista consultant served as Project Director providing Project Management services on this $64 million, 2,500-user implementation project. MetaVista led the Project Management Office (PMO) to set standards, track progress, and assess projects against key performance metrics.

• Infrastructure Deployment: Integrated and oversaw the execution of 30 CalWIN infrastructure projects, performed communication planning and execution, developed and maintained Project Schedule, managed risk analysis mitigation, contingency and tracking, and executed procurement.
• Software Implementation: Configured and deployed of 2,500 workstations, 60 servers, printers, and LAN/WAN components. Managed software table customization, training, data conversion, user acceptance testing, performance metrics, Change Management, Business Process Re-engineering, and GoLive planning and implementation.

State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs – NGET Project
Provided Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) services for the Next Generation Electronic Transmission (NGET) Project, a paperless certification system that minimizes fraudulent reporting and accommodates the ever changing multiple layers of government requirements that regulate the vehicle emission systems in California.

State of California, Office of Health Information – HIPAA Project
Provided Project Management and Technology Consulting services for the implementation of the HIPAA Administrative Simplification IT project. Activities included project planning and status reports, evaluation and recommendation of tools, templates, policies, and other IT resources used to implement HIPAA, and assisting staff with requirements of the HIPAA Security and National Provider Identifier (NPI) rules.

Wells Fargo Bank
 – Data Center Alignment Project
Provided Project Management and Technology Consulting services to create and obtain executive approval for a long-term strategic alignment of three large-scale mainframe data centers following a merger; worked with senior executives to define objectives and priorities, then to define a 30-month strategy for completing the project.

University of California at Davis
– UCD Extension Training
MetaVista employees developed and delivered project management training courses for the University Extension program for many years.

University of Alaska at Fairbanks – FacilityFocus Project
Provided Project Management, Organizational Change Management, IT Procurement Support and Business Analysis for the $2 million asset management FacilityFocus Upgrade Project.

State of California, Department of Transportation – Caltrans Training
Developed and delivered project management training to hundreds of State employees through in-house training at Caltrans.
